At the end of November 2014 Rick travelled out to California to meet up with some of his American friends and colleagues for the 17th Annual “Day in the Dirt” event. The event brings together professional stunt performers along with professional, amateur and veterans from the world of motocross for a weekend of fun racing at Glen Helen in California. Although Rick was unable to compete this year due to injury it is was great for him to see how the event has grown over the years into the massive RedBull – supported spectacle it is today and has definitely fired him up to train super-hard for next year’s event. Rick will be heading back to Los Angeles early next year to train with good friend and event founder Jimmy Roberts and with top superbike racer Kieran Clarke, both of whom put in amazing rides at this years event.
